Nastruck

Hey guys I seen the truck on 'ebay and it said that it was inspired by nascar. I thought you all would like to see some serious detail. It would have been a real work of art if it was a swb.

Re: Nastruck

I can't fathom doing that to a LWB. But I do like the drivetrain and susp. work. The interior....not so much.

My thoughts exactly. Everything from the frame-up looks cheesy.

Re: Nastruck

i think he bought a rollin craftsman truck chassis and put a c-10 body on it and cut the cage off because all that susp. is nascar not sure how old it is but that truck should handle like a dream

That set up looks way to heavy to be something NASCAR would run it may be from some other class in NASCAR but not the Cup level.

IMHO you can keep it i'de rather have a custom frame from someone like Art Morrison or Total cost engineering, Fatmans Fabrications or the likes.

Have you looked at the rear suspension on any NASCAR or truck? Silly as it may seem all use a modified setup based on the old mid sixties chevy truck trailering arm design. Besides beefing it up they add the screw jacks to the springs for suspension adjustment. I think Hot Rods from Hell sells a kit to adapt that setup to just about anything you want to.

I think the chassis is wicked. Yeah it's a LWB, but I appreciate it not being a belly button SWB. Put some decent looking 17"s on it and I'd like it even more.

Re: Nastruck

I appreciate the work but dont like the truck itself... if it was a short bed, with the right wheels and a low front airdam it might look better... of course it needs the roll cage coming through the back of the cab down into the bed...

Re: Nastruck

I like it alot other than the gawdy interior. Not that I would have any clue how to adjust it, which is why I'm not a mechanic in NASCAR

Yeah I'm not fond of LWB but oh well.

I love the LWB, but then I am biased, half of my trucks are..the better half. Got a link to the truck on ebay?

Why does it have to be a swb to be a work of art? I'm tired of the longbeds getting trashed around here.

I'm not real fond of the over all look of it, but it would be just as ugly, if not UGLIER as a short bed.

Re: Nastruck

definetly not a nascar cup or truck frame. if you look at the pics on the auction, the 6th pic up from the bottom shows a good pic of the frame rails. looks like stocker frame rail to me.

Re: Nastruck

Definitely a lot of work went into it but I can find a helluva lot better way to drop $17k--the current bid .

Re: Nastruck

I kinda like it, not enough to drop 17K on it but its cool. My thinking is atleast they did something different instead of making another cookie cutter shortbed. But then again Im biased, I like my 8 foot bed.

Re: Nastruck

I'm not hating on LWB's, but in this case with all the trick suspension parts I'd rather it be a SWB. My first fullsize pickup was a LWB. I'm looking to purchase another one. It will make the third LWB I have owned.
