Big 10 questions
I recently acquired a 1984 K10 Chevy with a 6.2 Diesel. This truck has Big 10 decals on the rear quarters and the paint on the truck is original. I know there were Big 10 models in the 70's, but I was not aware that they came up through the 80's until I saw this truck. Does anyone have any info on the Big 10's. TIA!!

Re: Big 10 questions
Yeah, me too. My first truck was a '78 GMC SWB Heavy Half, and I know that the Big 10 was Chevy's version of the package. I always thought that they were dropped when the front end changed after '80. I suppose it's possible that the decals were put on, but they would have had to been out when truck was new or almost new because they are weathered as bad as Heavy Half decals on the '78. This '84 does have a hefty leaf pack on the rear like the Heavy Half did.

Re: Big 10 questions
I've never heard of them going up that far. But i'm no expert. My Big 10 is an '80 and that was about the last year that I was aware of.

Re: Big 10 questions
I also have a 80 big 10 and everything I have seen 80 was the last year. The big 10 package was chevy's way to get around adding the cadiletic (sp) converter. In 80 the guide lines changed and the big 10 was now required to add the converter and that was the last year that I know about.
