Talking My score story

We all read threads about guys having cool stuff given to them making us all green with envy, well here's my best score yet.
First of all a big Thank you to Putter for the hookup! You rock buddy!
Putter had a friend offer him a 70 C-20 w/400 bb (402 or 396 I'm not sure which was offered in 70?). Due to a few difficulties he decided to pass it on to me. Don't have a clue on the mechanical shape of the truck, but I know the last time it was tagged was 1980. Body is in fair to bad shape starting good at the front and getting worse the further back you go. Here are the pics I have so far. Thanks to Eric for also being the photographer while George (Gman69 and I do most of the work ).

Re: My score story

I don't have any good pics of the grill yet, but it's in great shape from what I could see, the inner grill looks good and I only noticed a ding in the outer.

Re: My score story

If I can get the title it will be another project (I've wanted a 3/4 ton work truck) to get running and use for hauling so my half ton can just be a cruiser. Nothing special done to it. If the engine is shot, I'll throw a sb in it for now and save the engine for my half ton.

Good for you Krue, it's so cool to not only get a deal, but to bring a truck like that from certain death back to life & drive it again, what are your plans for it?

According to Gman69 there was a lot of old cars at the top of that hill that the scrap man got. If it wasn't for the guy knowing that Eric liked the old chevy's it would have been gone too.

Have you checked to see if that motor is locked up or not? I'm willing to put money on it being locked up.

Re: My score story

Nice Score, on a side note does anyone remember the story about the one that was in Oregon that was stuck in the mud and given away and a bunch of board members went and got it out?
