Before you hammer me, the answer is NO, sorry I do not have pic's, but I
took "Merlot" down to my buddy's shop today at around 10am, he cut off
my tailpipes (They were squashed from it being aired out) and fixed a few
leaks (9 to be exact) and I left there around 3, he worked on it non stop
pretty much the whole time, my Bill you ask? He did it all for $50 + tax

Now I am ready for the next step, getting air to the bags from other than
my house

But at least now I can drive her to and from the shops

Looks good Craig. I forgot all about your work session and spent the day trying to straighten out a mess I made back before Thanksgiving. I'm halfway there. Keep after it and you'll be riding on air before you know it.

Yeppers, now I have to figure out the compressor issue, keep the engine
driven one and get brackets fabbed for it, but loose my A/C forever, or I
go 12 volt anywhere from $199 to $1199 and get the A/C put back on it.

There is positives and negatives both ways Kevin, 12 volt systems are loud,
engine driven are quiet, but ya gotta have the truck running also, I think it
might end up electric though, if I can get by with one compressor it will be.

What kind of 'consumption' of air is needed to cycle the bags?

How about using a CO2 bottle?
My 15lb cylinder has enough volume capacity to fill the 40's on my truck 10 times from zero to 20 psi, that's ALOT of air!

I'd be willing to bet you could get through almost of an entire season on no more than two bottles. (without knowing usage at this time)

Or even a small compressed air tank? (not as much volume as CO2)

Kurt, it has 2 tanks on it already, air tanks that is, some guys are using the
C02, but where to mount the bottle? how big is it? keep in mind on most of
the bagged layed out rigs you see on here the air ride is obvious inside the
bed of the rig, right now (Except for a few patch panels) my floor is flat

Don't ditch the AC. I actually do use mine with the top off. It provides some cool air at stop lights and in traffic.

It seems like I read somewhere you could run an engine driven compressor off the driveline (driveshaft/trans yoke?). If you decide to go with the CO2 you could pull the old trick of painting the tank blue and putting an NOS sticker on it. I've seen this done with the old Bazooka style speakers and it looks pretty cool.

The Colorado K5 site had a write up on an engine mounted compressor for airing up tires, etc.. Used a York compressor. Is ths an option, or are there not enough pulleys?
