My 57 Project
Here is a pic of the new project. I am also going to pick up a 55 shortbed on saturday included is a 56 big back window cab. I will take the three and hopefully make one. Plans are for an a-arm or strut front end, stock rear rails,4-link with drag radials and eventually a turbo or procharger. Something very different than the ordinary And something with 1000+ HP

Re: My 57 Project
Cal 58- Your truck is unbelievable, love that color. I am excited to get started on the project that has been sitting for about 3 years. I have a good bit of the suspension already and just need to get some time to start. Also, I may not use that big back window cab, but what is it worth if I were to sell it. It has the usual rust and the dash is rough. I will try and get some pics of it this weekend. Just wondering what to ask if I don't use it? Thanks again!

Re: My 57 Project
Thanks for the info on the cab price...Mine is going to be a shortbed stepside...the one in the pic is an extra long bed and I just didn't like the look or the weight of the extra metal. I hope to have some more pics up soon. This weekend I plan to get the 55 home and take the bed off and start on rear suspension. We are in the process of finishing up a 90 LX mustang to run in some local 10" tire races and that has consumed all of my spare time. BTW, the mustang will have a SBC in it

Re: My 57 Project
i am keeping mine a long bed, it is just going to be a 500 hp cruiser, so weight is not a huge concern i like the look of the longer bed, plus i like to be different, that's why i am building a '59 3/4 ton and using a '55 1/2 ton for parts.

I should have many more this weekend...I am trying to go through some pics of my suspension stuff I already have so I can post some pics of it. Plans are for 15x10 alumastar hopefully and 325 M/T Drag radials. Where is the best place to get the Mustang II IFS stuff at? Anybody have any good deals on the stuff? Thanks guys...

Re: My 57 Project
Well, I will have new pics up soon soon. I am still going to get the 55 pickup but here is what I bought last night. I dunno if it will go in the truck first, but eventually it will find its way between the frame rails. I bought Procharger, brackets, tubing, belts, and pullies in this picture. It is a D3 capable of 1800HP. In a 3000lb. Vega with a 355 SBC it ran 8.80's on pump gas. I can't wait. Pics below

Re: My 57 Project
haha...I dunno about any sissy bars for the truck I got the other two trucks home but forgot the camera. I will try and have pics up this week. The 56 big back window cab is in real good shape, and the 55 pickup is no worse than normal. Should be able to make one good truck out of three. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Re: My 57 Project
Here is a pic of my cousin with the D3 Procharger. I still have no new pics of the other trucks as work has been crazy. Also the slow process is due in part to my acquring a 67 Chevy II hardtop for a daily driver. I will keep you updated!!!
