Allow me to introduce myself
I just bought the '93 a week ago today I flew 850 miles to Oakland, CA to get it and drove back. It was soooo worth the trip. I looked for 2 months in a 500 mile radius to find it and couldn't, finally found this one and I love it. It has the Tonawanda motor, Stainless exhaust and K&N intake already. Less than 100K on it (til next week).
Once I sell the '83 I can do some upgrades to the new one and really get it set up to pull that 8000 pound trailer this summer. I really regret ever selling my first love the '72, if you still have yours don't ever even consider selling!!! Doesn't matter how many responsibilities you have, that one comes first.

Re: Allow me to introduce myself
If you don't mind my asking, what is a Tonawanda engine? I know it's the build plant but is there something special about this engine?

Re: Allow me to introduce myself
I myself have been asking that same question all week. What I have found out is that the engine has different heads, cam, and more. I contacted jet perfomance about thier six-pack programmer for it and they stated that it would not work with this engine due to these mods. Apparently, this engine is most commonly used in motorhomes. It has a few extra ponies and more torque than it's other 454 bretheren. If you ask me that is preatty awesome.
