Need help to determine drop.
My truck came lowered & supposedly with dropped spindles & springs. But I have no idea how to tell what was really done. The springs look new (silver in color?) but not sure how to tell what spindles I have.
Can someone measure the fender lip to center of wheel so I can determine my drop? It needs to be fender to wheel center as wheel/tire size wont effect this measurement. I’m assuming a lowered truck will require a different shock than stock ride hight. Is this correct? s/t

Re: Need help to determine drop.
I am running stock shocks in the front. The rear are 3" lower with shock relocators, but my truck is bagged.
Look at the back of the spindle. If the spindle is at teh bottom, it's stock, if the spindle is more toward the middle, it's dropped. Drop on the left, stock on the right:

Re: Need help to determine drop.
Thanks, I’ve only looked from the inside at the spindle & it don’t look like a lot of drop..

Re: Need help to determine drop.
Well how about a measurement from a dropped truck? I'm looking about 14.5" give or take. My truck has a 2.5" drop spindle and a 1" drop coil. So I guess stock height would give you a measurement of 18" give or take a smidge.

Re: Need help to determine drop.
My stock height front is 20 3/4". Rear is 20" but I've got a few hundred lbs of tools and junk in the bed. Hope this helps. Craig

Re: Need help to determine drop.
According to the LMC catalog with stock tires and springs the top edge of the fender on a 2wd should be 36" from the ground. So 18" to the center of the wheel sounds about right.
