bumper laying out now
Well tonight i dropped the front rad support down 4 inches to match the z.
Tacked it ito place and test fitted the radiator, ofcourse it wouldnt just slide in like from factory so i had to trim a bit here and there, nothing drastic but had to or else! Some of the engine rad lines actually reach there spots even after being lowered but some defintily will not. It is really nice to see that bumper laying flat on the ground. Now all the fun stuff begins because its sitting on the ground. lol lol Slowly but surely, and hey the nice thing is is a have a donor frame and if worse comes to worse in the whole scheme of things and i get to a point where ive had eneough i can always start over..... by getting a proffessional to do it lol lol.... |

sorry guys, i had every total intention of giving you some pics, my bad, i couldnt get my camera to work yet i was so excited to tell someone that shared the same interests i did. Nobody cares where i live so hence i wrote a post. I ll get a picture as soon as i can but till then sorry about that.
Any of you get all things back together in the front and things dont line up?? |

I know what you mean by no one caring around where you live. Over here I tell people that my 4-6 drop isn't enough for me and it's gonna be lower and they say, "How are you gonna go hunting with a truck that low?" Although, I do have a couple of board members around me that I can go visit when I need to feel normal again.

Im in Saskatchewan. As for people they ask how are you gonna be able to drive it that low. And this question is asked after the fact that they know that i have airbags. Duh!!!!! I have seen it a thousand times over where i would pull up to the gas pumps and there would be a brand new lifted to the sky 4by4 truck with everything on it and i pull in to get a pop and i go inside and on lookers cling to my bagged truck rather than pay any attention to the raised suspension, Its a funny thing how its like you have an invisible naked woman hangin from youre truck that you cant see and everyone else can and they gotta get a closer look. No matter what, a slammed to the cement truck will turn more heads that any other stock or raised truck on the market.
It's the questions they always have of how did you do that where as a raised one they have an inkling of how to so to speak even though there is a lot of work to raising a truck super high as well dont get me wrong. I just hope that all the dead ends and changes im gonna be making and the late nights frustrated as hell when something doesnt line up or something has to be drastically changed that ill keep on keepin on. A z in the front and a lowered rad support seems to me isnt even step one compared to whats left. Safety first.. Boomer |
