powder coating question
Anyone here know if you can powder coat a brake booster and master cylinder? If so what should I pull out besides stuff that will melt. Getting ready to break in my new eastwood powder kit.

Re: powder coating question
I would worry about the internals, and my ability to reassemble it and it work correctly. Believe me I thought about it.

Re: powder coating question
I coated all the brackets on my old setup (before I went to serpentine), engine towers, tranny linkage etc. I'll try to find pics of the stuff I did. It's held up pretty well, usually cleans up with little work. Looks like the deeper (would be all the way thru paint if I had just painted it) scratches could be sanded out and buffed back to a shine (if I cared enough to do it).

Re: powder coating question
Pull everything down to bare body. Not only will stuff melt, but you can fuse stuff together. Also make sure to mask off or plug areas you don't want powder on.
I use high-temp tape and also have high temp plugs in a ton of sizes. It's a lot easier to do the work up front than to try and remove powder later.
