Re: Flush Mount Tonno cover
I had a LeBra on my 87 longbox that only sat about 1/4" above bedsides...LeBra called it a flushmount. It looked good, was a soft cover.

Re: Flush Mount Tonno cover
Truxedo has a low profile soft cover for our trucks. I dunno if it's what you are looking for or not but check out the site for pics. http://www.truxedo.com/lopro/truxedo-lopro.html The gallery even has a picture a cover on a 81-87 c10!

Re: Flush Mount Tonno cover
The closest thing I know of is the "GT Classic" by Gem Top. It does sit on top of the rails but it is only about 3/8" thick. It is very smooth and looks sharp.
Since Gem Top is rebuilding their site they don't have a picture up. Here a pic of my 97 that had one on it.

Re: Flush Mount Tonno cover
If you're looking to waterproof your bed, you almost have to go with one that sits over the top. I just put a Gaylord X2000 on. I know it's not what you're looking for, but it is flat and fits very flush, almost factory in its look. I agree though that a flush-mounting system looks better, but no tonneau cover looks the best.
