paint it black-death of the bumbble bee

i started to paint the seirra with rattlr cans of blitz black. im about half way done and takin a break to run to the hardware store and the dealership for more paint and supplies. im planning on snablasting the truck eventually and painting it properly, but for now i just wanted to get rid of the yellow. heres a couple pics.

Does not look to bad from here. I'm going to do the same thing to my 81 stepside. Only mine is going to be flat black and stay that way.

After all, you are the only one who has to like it, Right !!!!!

LMAO thats makes three of us.. when i got my truck it was 4 different colors so i jsut ran down n got some rattler cans of white n painted it real quick.. it is still this way but im going to start sanding it down soon to repaint it. i am in the middle of restoring a 66 ford f 150 EWW FORD I KNOW but im restoring it and gunna turn around n sell it.. but it is comming good.. ill have pics if u guys wanna see

after i sand blast it im gonna re spray it blitz black again. im almost done now, only a few places to sand and then paint. ill throw some finnished picturs up later

Is it flat black or semi gloss? it sure doesn't look shiney to me. The shineiest part of it is the cab right behind the door and above the cab corner, on the body line area.

It does look alot better then the old yellow, that's for sure, and my favorite color is yellow!!!! LOl but IMo looks alot better black!!!!!

its a satin black. i think it looks shinny there because of the way the light hits it

rofl....Ive been doing that to my 2-tone brown bucket myself! in the Dorm parking lot here on base, same color! usin a primer black, then I'll have maaco do a $200.00 shoot of paint'n'seal over the top when Im done. looks sexy as hell so far tho bro,.,.,.I know I'd hit it

it's called a 50 foot or 100 foot paint job, which ever distance it looks the best is how you determine. when it's a half mile paint job you got problems.

I've always called them 50/50 paint jobs, it looks good at 50 feet or 50 miles per hour.

the fingers not bad, it got tired though. the paint job is getting aproval from everyone whos seen it, including the skeptical girlfriend
