Post a few wiring q's.

ok i think i know how to do this but im double checking before i snip or wire..
for HEI, i snip off the old white points resistor wire, and the yelow "R" terminal startor wire, then run a copper wire from the battery terminal on cap to the ignition fuse on the fuse panal, right?

and for internal regulated altenator, to completly cut out old regulator wire brown stright to brown on alt plug and red straight to red on alt plug, right? then the other red wire to the wire on the back of the alt, and the other to the thing on the fender beside battery, is that all right?

HEI correct,
for alt, easiest way is to jump #1 with #3 and #2 with #4 on the regulator plug, doesnt matter from which end of the plug, or you can put brown wire onto the white wire on the later model alternator, and the blue gets removed form truck, dotn need it anymore, and red at reg to the red on alternator which all goes ot battery or to ign switches source(preferable)
black remains grounded ot sheetmetal of truck or to alternator case
