Late model brakes for my '67 C20

Maybe it's my inexperience with this site but I can't seem to get the search to work for looking up this subject in previous posts.

So here's the question: What year, model components would be best to use for converting to front disc brakes? Money is an object at this time so what's the most economical route?

OR...........is there a later model chassis that I could roll under my body without too much modification.

I am still in the "mental" stages of planning for my truck, so ALL advice and suggestions will be appreciated and considered.

Thanks in advance!

Actually, you should only need to boneyard you a set of spindles and brake calipers. Then when you get your new ball joints, just get them for the year of truck that the spindles came off of.

Isn't there supposed to be a proportioning valve somewhere in the mix? Also, will my current mastercylinder and booster work?

So many questions...........so few answers
