81 Stepside wood floor replacement

I've never replaced one before and am on very limited budget. Going to have White Oak planks donated, what sort of measurements to I need to do this effectively? Any al all help is welcome.

I thought of useing tread plate aluminum, but it gives too much flash and just isn't my style...

Always need help...

If the old planks are still in the bed use them to get your dimensions.
