LFD's Project Traizer 2WD closed cab.
LFD's Trazer closed cab Yes that is right we will be putting on a truck cab to this 2WD blazer. I know it is not everyones cup of tea but just wait untill it is ready to leave the shop then give your opnion. It will be a few weeks before I realy get started on this but it is at the shop and ready to go once I finish up a few loose ends. We will be doing the regular rust replacement and a full passenger side quarter and some drivers side patches at the rear of the quarter. Then the fire wall will be getting a standard shave, full frame doors and a truck cab graft. Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: LFD's Project Traizer 2WD closed cab.
So, is the bed going to be attached to the back of the cab, like an avalanche? Regular cab size, or are you going to extend it a bit? Didn't they something like this in Mexico or south america?

Re: LFD's Project Traizer 2WD closed cab.
So...it's going to be like a blazer with a half cab...but a full time half cab, right?

It is going to be a while unless I end up taking this body off the frame for some reason. I need to test fit a body to the dolly before I will sell and plans and right now my Blazer is tward the bottom of the list with my son on th eway any time now. I still need to get his room finished and get the main power to the house changed over so we can get A/C installed before it gets to hot for Momma. Quote:
It is going to be a short uni-body pick up! I will be tacking a very nice cab and steeling the roof, whindshield section, back of the cab and the doors and grafting it onto this Blazer tub. Quote:
The sad part is right now my 2WD blazer is drivable but just sits waiting to get as far along as this one is right now Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: LFD's Project Traizer 2WD closed cab.
Wouldn't shortening a 2wd truck frame and grafting the bedsides to the cab produce the same effect/look?

Re: LFD's Project Traizer 2WD closed cab.
Here's a similar "Trazer" for you guys that are having a hard time figuring out what he is doing.
Edit - I believe that one has the top chopped a little though.

Re: LFD's Project Traizer 2WD closed cab.
That's cool. I think one would look good with a '67 SBW, clip & no markers

I have a hard time with the idea of a hard top blazer, kinda makes them like the old Ford unibodies, but I also think people can build their trucks the way they want to. I'm sure Kevins version will be much more tasteful! Rg

He wasn't real happy that the silver short-step was picked as the better of the class they were in because in his opinion..... "they weren't in the same class..... they weren't in the same stratosphere...." because his Boyds/Lil-John/Johnsons HotRodShop creation was soooooo much more. I mentioned it wasn't about the amount of money or the # of modifications done..... it was the overall 'feel' of the truck as perceived by John Q. Public (not Mr. Barret Jackson). He indicated I was naive in my thoughts.....

Ya know, we're becoming acustom to nice 3D renderings before a project starts these days. When are we going to see your Carter Hickman rendering?
