LMC front bumper with round fog lights

A few weeks ago I installed a new bumper from LMC. The experience was mostly smooth, although the 24 piece bolt kit I ordered at the same time I ordered the bumper was on backorder for about 3 weeks. So I had this big long box in the garage for a few weeks having to work around, no real biggie.

The real pain was in the wiring harnesses that are included with the bumper. None of them were long enough to do much with. The instructions called for the power wires to be directly connected to the battery, but I chose to run them inside to ignition power instead, in case I bumped the switch (included) with my knee when entering/exiting the vehicle. That made the fuse holders land outside the cab right in front of the fuse block. The 2 black ground wires weren't long enough to do much with, so I used a self tapping screw and landed them right on the inner fender, then coated them in black liquid tape.

I used a self tapping screw and washer to mount the relay for the fog lights on the driver's side of the radiator support. I also used self tapping screws on the ground wires coming from the lights and screwed them right to the bottom of the radiator support, because they were only about 15 inches long.

I don't drive my truck through much water so I think the connections will be good for quite a while.

There is no good way to mount the included rocker switch that comes with the kit unless you want to super glue it to your guage bezel, so throw it out and plan on a trip to Radio Shack to get a good switch.

Overall Experience I would rate 6 out of 10, and the bumper definitely adds spice to the front of the truck. Enjoy!
