Im selling my '70 SWB project until I can afford to put the time and funds into that sort of endeavor. I will try to list all that I can remember and post a good amount of pics but if you have questions or need more pics just let me know.

in pic #5 it looks like the frame is tweaked a little? like one rail is higher than the other? Randy

As far as I and the PO know it is fine but I will investigate. How would you go about that? Maybe measure from the bottom of the frame to the ground in several places all the way back on both sides and see if there is a difference?

unless the floor you are using to measure is perfectly level that wil not work. but after looking a little harder at the frame it looks from the last x-member back the PS frame rail is running down hill, or vice versa or is the floor out of level?

This too was a concern, but upon closer inspection of the picture you will notice that he doesn't have the lowering block on the right side yet.

Also, if you look at pic #4, that crossmember is mounted at an angle(front to back) from the factory. I think that's what's making it look off. Nice frame chassis.

Yeah that x member does that sometimes, but you are looking in the wrong place. Look at the diff in height of the rails using the rear rims as a guide(circled also in red in above pic) There is at least 1-1 1/2" diff. I would not ask out in the open about this unless I was sure something was not right. I see a tweaked frame from the pics, just my .02...Randy

Well Randy, I checked and there is a difference of 1/4" between the two sides...but that difference is present at the end of the frame rail as well as over the axle tube and forward of it. I discussed it with the new owner and we determined that it wasnt "tweaked" but the new suspension components were not settled and tightened down. Im sure the difference will work itself out when the cab and bed are installed and everything is torqued down.

I honestly didnt think you were interested. one9six9 lives around the corner from me and called and came over before I could post my findings. If you had said "im interested but id like to know why the frame rails are..." then it would be a different story I think. Thanks for pointing it out though as I would have felt bad if the new owner had actually found something wrong AFTER the sale. So no PMs were sent and no rules were broken...at least I hope not.

Kieth,
I copied the pic and if you take a look I circled the lowering block on the PS, IT IS there but is almost behind the track bar mount. I too was seriously intersted in the frame, but with no confirmation from Bowtie I was not jumping on just yet. Good luck with and I hope it works out great for you!!!

Cab is a '70 A/C cab that has had rockers and cab corners replaced and a good looking roof. It has also had the gas hole filled. It has some surface rust from being outside at my house (was in a garage up until 4 months ago). There is one section of the floor near the driver footwell that needs a patch. I will get pics when i start the thread.

OK, I give up! That is a nice package. Why do people want you to break it up and sell of the NEW parts that can be bought from several dealers...all day long?
