what color should I paint
the color it currently is is a bronzy green with metal flecks in it. with a tan two tone. Over the years it's color has kinda grown on me. I mean all you see are red black blue and white trucks and a few other colors sprinkled in. I don't have a clue what the color thats on it is called it's original paint. any ideas if I should paint it the same color again or find some new paint scheme Like I said i don't want a blue white black red or even orange truck you see those all the time.

Re: what color should I paint
Yeah a few years ago I would have thought man green and cream is so ugly but now it seems kinda retro and I've just really started to like it in the pics though it looks so dark and it's more green then brown so that graphic I made is really how it's suppose to look. I never see any my color though at all. always a green green with a two tone white.

Re: what color should I paint
I say go with what makes YOU happy. For me, all my trucks are going back to the original color, just the way I am.

Re: what color should I paint
I would stay with the original color, especially if you are going for a restoration instead of building it as a customized truck. You don't see very many around with that color combo anymore. Most of the green trucks that I have seen usually have white as the two tone color instead of the color you have, which is neutral.
If you want to change colors, how about a dark forest green? I used to have a 74 Nova that was dark forest green. How about yellow? I used to have a 77 K20 that was yellow and neutral two tone. I really liked the color combination on that truck. Just a couple of suggestions. ...Joe |

Re: what color should I paint
Is the truck going to be all stock? If so I'd keep it the factory colors.....but if you plan on lowering and new wheels, I'd use the factory colors BUT...........I'd put some silver or gold pearl over the top of just the green.
