Got er back!

I got my truck back from the body & paint shop, with the base coat on it, my plan is to block the base coat myself right before its i have enough to get it painted with the final coat, and then when I get the money in a few months bring it back to get the final hugger orange sprayed on!

For now I'm just gunna drive like it is, well actually tomorrow I gotta take the front end apart and I'm going to cut the springs a little while I'm in there, and I'm painting the rallies gloss RED!

Re: Got er back!

There's something about a primered truck that just sets it apart from the rest
i'd leave it primed and throw the beauty rings and cap on the Ralleys,RED rims and Black primer

Re: Got er back!

Yeah guys I gotta say I dig the primer too! I'm probably going to roll it in primer and red rallies for a few months. I am in the process of removing the springs, I'd I'm trying to figure out how to cut them, anyone know?

Re: Got er back!

I managed to figure out a way to cut the coil, but I'm trying to figure out how much is considered one whole coil, because the bottom coil is almost all flat, where would I cut to remove one complete coil?

The very end of the spring is your guide for where to cut the 'next' coil above it.

Thanks, do I need to worry about "flattening out" the last coil like like the original bottom coil was?

Re: Got er back!

I'm glad you guys like it, I managed to get a few more things done today after battling the rubbing issues on the lower control arm. I put the front bumper on and the mirrors as well.

Re: Got er back!

DO NOT cut it again. Make sure it's seated in the A-arm correctly. Do the other side and roll it out. It will settle down....

Re: Got er back!

I wouldn't sand the primer either. Unless you sand the entire truck all one direction, you will have a different texture in the area you sand.
