Dash lights don't work
None of my dash lights work in the '74 except the turn signals, bright indicator and the brake indicator. All of the bulbs have been changed.
Besides the obvious fuses what could be causing this? Possibly a ground issue? Where are they grounded to? What things should I be looking for? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Dash lights don't work
I know it's a dumb question and I don't know if the lights you have that are working, work with the others in this way or not, but I KNOW it's happened to me several times.
Are they dimmed too much? I can't tell you how many times mines been dimmed down by accident and I think all the lights stopped working.

Re: Dash lights don't work
Sometimes the printed circuit behind the cluster goes bad. Mine was all sorts of screwed up, if I turned my lights on the gas gauge and voltmeter stopped working, but they worked fine with the lights off. Half of the light bulb sockets were dead too.

Re: Dash lights don't work
Check your tail lights , I think they are out when your dash lights go out . My 77 in highschool used to lose the dash lights and it was an indication that the tail lights were out . Mine was a pinched wire between the bed and frame . Frank

The tail lights do work as do all other exterior lights. I got a different cluster to try. We'll see if it works.
