Stepside Tailgate
Soo I got looking on ebay tonight and it seems that all the tailgates for stepsides were the same 55-87? Is this correct? I'm gonna kick myself if so since there were a ton there I could have picked up cheap...

im actually got my hand on a 72 rust free tail gat for step thought id uses it a as a learning expereance. as in painting and airbrushing.

Been told im nuts to bring it back from the dead (still going to happen) plans-all stock with a turbo 292 inline 3 speed column shift. and thats it big block 427 and 5 speed trans and ford 9 inch theyhave no home yet thinking what to put them in and a 79 c60 trash truck um no idea i have one |

Nice! All you southern people have it good... Know what it's like trying to find ANYTHING rust free for these trucks in the northeast? I've been looking for a cab too but everything up here's rotted worst than what I have now...

That is correct, you can still buy it from GM although it's a little pricey ($300) also MarK products has them Plain ,with logo or smooth. Jap ones, like sorta.... I mean certa-fit are arond $100. They are thinner and the welds not in a staight row but they are new.
