Re: Swing away spare - CL seattle

My 72 K5 came with an aftermarket rear bumper. With that the mounts for a swing away aftermarket spare tire holder which mounts on the right rear corners, both bumper and fender then on the driver side fender.
Does anyone know where I can find 1 like it? Let me know...thanks.

Re: Swing away spare - CL seattle

I had one that bolted to the bumper and the right side fender, then locked in the middle. Is that stock?? Is it worth anything??? I have taken it off now, I liked the back end bare, im taking a newer tahoes spre mount and welding it behind the back seat in the middle. Hey bouncy, man do I love the look of your truck!!!!! I found a guy near me that converts mine to a 2wd, Im goin for it and I cant wait!!!!!

I don't think what you had was stock, but if it is in good condition and you have all the parts, it should have some value.

Thanks for the complements. The thought of converting mine to 2wd is always in the back of my mind. I go back and forth - keep it a fairly original 4wd or a bagged 2wd custom. Keep us informed on your conversion and take lots of pics while he's doing the work!
