Disc Brake Conversion
I have a 1970 Chevy C-10, just acquired. I want to convert the front brakes from drum to disc. The wheels are original equipment, with 5-lug 15-inch tires. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to make this conversion? I am new at this game and I want to learn how to work on my truck.
Thanks in advance for your help. |

Re: Disc Brake Conversion
I would recommend a disc brake conversion from Mcgaupheys. I believe i am speeling that right. They offer a reasonably priced disc brake kit. If you plan on rebuilding the front end anyway. You can get a set of stock 72 spindles and rotors, bearings, calipers and pads. You can get that stuff from Advance. However you will need to purchase a new master clinder and prop valve from a retailer such as Classic Performance Products. It will run you around 129.00 for that stuff. If you go to the 72 stuff, you will have to change to 72 balljoints...
