removing A arms

I'm swapping lower A arms from one truck to another. One set has a lower basket for the spring (gives a 2 inch lower ride.
I've got it all apart and last thing was to remove the bolt on the ball joint(?) Did so but it won't fall out. Did the customary pounding to no avail... is there a spreader tool of some sort to push the bolt/ball joint down and free the A arm?

Re: removing A arms

Yeah, called a pickle fork. But you should be able to knock the joint loose by hitting the side of the knuckle with a large hammer; preferably a ball peen. Just hit the knuckle right at the ball joint hole and it should drop right out.

Nope, not much room. Sometimes it takes a bigger hammer too. Make each swing count.....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
