Please help identify these drop spindles
Picked up these drop spindles back in 2004 and intended them to go on my '64 C10. I'm going to repurpose them for use on my '72 instead. Problem is I can't remember which vendor they came from originally. (I bought them secondhand from someone else and now I can't remember what he told me.) Does anyone recognize them? I need to know (I think) so I can be sure to buy the correct ball joints when the time comes (and maybe for other reasons as well).
I can get more pictures if necessary. These are just a couple I had access to from work that showed the markings on the spindles, which simply say "C-10 RH" and "C-10 LH" and the back side of a spindle. Thanks in advance! Brent

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
Looks like my Early Classic Enterprise ones, But of course ECE would be stamped somewhere on there

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
Just checked ECE's site and they do look identical minus the "Early Classic" logo. I'm sure they're made by the same company and just have the logo added for ECE.
Checking ECE's website revealed a problem in my plan, unfortunately, and that's that the spindles are apparently different '63-70 and '71-2. EDIT: FWIW, The spindles on CPP's site look exactly the same, too, with the addition of the CPP logo. They're all coming out of the same place, I'm sure.

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
No, because the drop spindles are all for disc brakes.

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
ECE and ECE have adapter sleeves for tie rods. Lets you use 71-72 on one end and 70 down on the other. Then just use the older ball joints to fit your spindles. That is assuming the wheel bearings are the same.

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
So your assuming that just because they look like the ones that ECE and CPP sell they are the same quality? That's a bit naive isn't it. Every set of spindles I have ever bought from a reputable company had a name or logo cast in them.
If they truly are AIM/Chassis Tech then I would.....ahhh never mind, I can see you aren't interested in our opinion.

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
Okay, it's sprinkling again so I decided to go through the email I archived to CD a couple years ago to see what I could find. Found the email I got back from the guy I bought the spindles from back in November '04. Maybe this'll clear things up once and for all:
> Saw your ad for the truck parts. Can you tell me if you still have theSo they're ECE spindles after all. Must have been made before they started putting their logo on. Guess I could have saved some hassle and hard feelings if I would have thought to look in my old email. Guess that's why I archived it in the first place, just in case I ever needed it again....

Re: Please help identify these drop spindles
That was directed to brossow but he deleted the post that it referred to.
He answered his own question.....
