Difference between '63-70 and '71-2 spindles?
Just discovered that the drop spindles I had been planning to use on my '72 C/10 are listed as '63-70 only and there's a different part number for '71-2. Anyone know what the difference is? I've got two sets of drop spindles that had been purchased for my '64 and '66 projects and had planned to "steal" one set for use on my '72 instead, but apparently that can't happen.
Thanks for any info, Brent

Upper and lower balljoints are different as are the outer tie rod ends. You can probably switch to '70 ball joints and tie rods to make them work. My suggestion would be to save them and get the correct '71-'72 spindles.

pre 70 are drum brake, so no provisions for your calipers.

I'm talking about the aftermarket drop spindles, which are all set up for disc brakes (as far as I know — maybe there are drum brake drop spindles out there, too).
