Stretched 72
Does anyone have some pics of streched truck cabs? I want to strech my cab on my 72 because I am a big guy and need the leg room.
I plan on going 6 to 8 inchs. |

Re: Streched 72
Dont have any pics, But I did see a feature of a stretched 71-72 in a magazine not too long ago. It was a baby blue primered, stretched of course, bagged and they even made it into a dually!..pretty cool..Ill double check to see what mag it was but i believe it was in Street Trucks..Try searching around on their website, theyve got tons of pics.

Re: Streched 72
My fault, Its in SPORT TRUCKS DEC 07 issue..Might still be in stores..and actually the truck is One C-10suburban and two C10 cabs welded together..I dont think you wanted to go that big, but hey its something worth lookin at..This truck is sick and it only got a 1 page spread..Hope this helped a little.

Re: Streched 72
Hmm, this truck seems to be making the rounds. I saw it at Slamfest in Tampa last month. It's got the biggest triangulated 4-link I've ever seen. Lots of work left to go on it. They took a 'burban and grafted the rear cab section from a truck to it. It looked to be done fairly cleanly.

Re: Streched 72
Thanks guys, I did see that one. I am looking for a pic of a short bed with a small strech just to get an idea how it will look. I am 6-03 and could use the leg room; havent seen any others like that.

Re: Streched 72
There are a few around. I lost all my pictures of '67-'72's, file got deleted and not by my doing. There actually were a few around here in Portland and one in Bend. I saw one in person just at a parking lot but it was a long bed, perfect condition but stock height. Never seen a short bed that I can recall. If I see any I'll post back with pictures.

Re: Streched 72
Board member Rokcrln is doing a mod to his pedals and his seat that should net several inches of leg room. Try sending him a PM, he does some awesome builds and usually documents them for the board.

I was thinking this too, way easier than cutting your cab up. I changed my seat out and gained a whole lot of room compared to the factory bench. |

Re: Stretched 72
Here is one from Puyallup (Seattle) Goodguys, really nice job. Note the stretched cab, hood, and bed mated to the cab. Not everyones cup of tea, but I thought it was very cool!
