lowering by loosening up the torsion bars?
I have a 62 GMC is it possible to get 2" - 3" lower in the front with just loosening up the bars? I have 5" lowered springs in the back & shorter tires in the front. i just want 2" - 3" lower in the front... How do I go about it with the torsion bars?

Re: lowering by loosening up the torsion bars?
Drop spindles would be best. The torsion bars may throw off the wheel camber lowering that much, or the torsion bar bolts will be very close to the ground! You could always give it a try and if it ain't right just adjust back- nothing to lose. Steve.

This was also lowered with the torsion bars and cut coils in the rear.

Re: lowering by loosening up the torsion bars?
I got it 1 1/2" lower in the front but would like another inch. I may get some longer bolts. I am out of "safe" adjustment at the moment...
How much did you guys get?

Re: lowering by loosening up the torsion bars?
I got 3-4 on mine and I hate it. The mounting arms catch on driveways etc and it hits the the bumpstops regulary. I am in the process of putting a '73 1/2 ton front under it.
