Did you ever put the bar-b-cue grill in the front?

Re: My 39
Yes it is a Fiero 2.8 V6 with a 5 speed man. trans.Just took it off the road to do some tweaking, mail slot rear window, install a roll bar, make a roadster type windshield ( the top of the cab is removable), install the beer keg BBQ up front, and a few minor adjustments. I have a real nice pro street 47 and it only went out of my driveway 2 times this year. Rats are much more fun.LFE

Re: My 39
Cool air cleaner! Despite the long front and thin meat, can you lift the light front end off the ground?

Re: My 39
Three reasons it wont lift the front wheels off the ground. I'm too old for that action, the big tires change the gear ratio and it wont even spin the tires and look at the pic for reason 3 all 717 lbs worth . LFE

Re: My 39
Phatt47,
Your rat rod is in December 2007 Custom Classic Trucks! The calender edition. On page 41 about the middle of the page. The article is "Truckin in the free world" the carlisle truck show. Thought it was cool that it made the mag and figured you would want to know. From what I can tell the pic was before you did the mail slot rear window. Frank

Re: My 39
No problem. Isn't that what's all about,,,haveing more fun?
That's gotta be a good feeling when a national mag picks your car out of hundreds to randomly aknowledge, even if you weren't trying for it. When I saw the pic I immediatly had to look it up on here to see if it was yours! Since you were invited to have your car inside next year,,,are you going to? Frank

Re: My 39
To put some weight on the front end. If its too light up there it won't turn, same if theres to much weight up there. It will just want to "push" in the corners.

Re: My 39
PHAT - do you have any build pics of your 47? I've got a 52 that's headed that direction (if I don't end up selling, ).

Re: My 39
Phatt 47, I understand what you mean about the wieght. What does it wiegh with the front end wieghed down? I'd like to get my IROC at or below 3000 lbs. My truck and wife's Tahoe are pigs. I'm able to get over 20 mpg with a TPI 5.7 in the IROC now. I have a bunch to learn about HP to wieght ratios, rotating mass and wieght distribution. I know that BMW's are balanced 40/60 front to rear with the batteries in the trunk. Im sure you were around 20/80 before the heavy metal front end. Cool truck!
