lowering 2" need to relocate shocks?

I have a 69 swb which I plan on installing 2" lowering springs front and back. I've already picked up new "stock" shocks which I planned on using before I bought the springs. My question is can I get away with the stock shock mounts with only a 2" drop?

I think you will be ok with a 2" drop, & stock lenght shocks. i have a 3/5 drop on the longhorn, & did make brackets for the front, & relocate the rear brackets to stand the shocks back up. the rears have a lot of travel, but on the front you might compress the front shock(top end of the shock loose, with the weight on the wheels), to see that the bottom a arm would bottom on the snubber before the shock bottoms out. good luck......crazy longhorn

I agree that relocation should not be necessary, but it would be a good idea to get new rear shocks more suited to the lowered position, thereby ensuring the correct travel. I cannot recommend which ones at the moment but I can check which type I was recommended and get back to you if you wish.
