Need help on the Blazer tank install
Was wanting some install pics of the blazer tank for those who have the metal beds. I have my bed off and about to install mine. Also when I hold my tank up I can slide it to the rear and almost clear the bed support. Was wondering if anyone else has done that?

Re: Need help on the tank install
You will have to trim the crossmember in order to install the tank. It also hangs real low if your truck is lowered. Best of luck with the install.

Re: Need help on the tank install
When I did mine I lowered the tank and made my own straps and did not trim the cross member but the tank hangs low. I have a Jeep cj and the truck tank hangs no lower than my stock jeep tank. I may end up cutting the cross member later on.

Re: Need help on the tank install
Still want to look at some pics so I can see where I'm heading. Seems to be hard to find these here.

Re: Need help on the tank install
I notched my cross memeber also.
You can check out what I did in my build thread http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=221437 One thing to watch/see is the after market tanks have a shorter fill neck on the tank (at least all that I have seen) My tank is an original 72 Blazer tank, so the neck comes out a bit more and seems to clear things a little better than some I have seen done.

Re: Need help on the tank install
any way I place it I'm still going to have to notch the cross support between the frame rails on the bed? Also if I extend the filler neck on it past the frame should I be able to keep the bed mount where it is?
