Very nice 73 Crewcab
I saw this very clean 73 crew cab K20 at the Daryl Starbird show in Wichita last week. The guy who owns/built it is a drag racer and he uses this truck to pull his enclosed trailer with race car.
He was very nice and eager to talk about his truck. He had a newer truck, I think he said a 1998 and he put it's motor/tranny into this truck and is using a divorced transfer case. The front axle is a 3/4 ton Dana 44, I assume the rear was a 14 bolt but I didn't look. He also put in the newer vehicles dash. His outside finish was very nice and it's cool to me to see that it is more work truck than show truck as can be seen from the motor.

Re: Very nice 73 Crewcab
Wonder how tough the dash was to accomplish?

Wow...that is a nice truck! It looks like he's running auto locking hubs. I wonder why he chose that route?
Thanks for posting the pics! |

Re: Very nice 73 Crewcab
I'll be the first nitpicker on the scene, I think the grille/headlights look cheesy, and I've never been fond of large rims on any truck, period. I do like the color, though.
