Re: hey i need wheel advise
I am running similar size wheels and tires are 275/40/18. They fit well up front but in the back you may be tite to the wheel well on the inside. I think my backspacing is 5.25". I welded 2 fender wells together for clearance....I will eventually use a spacer for better looks on the rear (imo). I also have 20's on my 'burb with 5.5" back space and they are fine front and rear.
Being as low as you are you will runn out of space above your front tire.

Re: hey i need wheel advise
I am lowered 5.5" in front and tire diameter is roughly 26". I have a couple inches to spare in the front and thats it. Just thought Id throw it in as something to consider.

Re: hey i need wheel advise
I guess I am way behind times and borderline, old school, because I am running 15" & 16" wheels on all my 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks. After looking at the Goodguys Goodtimes Gazette for the past few years, I realize the majority of cars and trucks out there are doing the 18"-24" rims and slamming them in the weeds. Maybe my stockers will stand out one of these days.

Re: hey i need wheel advise
Old School is good, however, my rigs won't win anything up against the latest craze! Like everything else, the stock, factory stance and sytling will come back around. I just hope I am not six feet under, by the time it happens.

Re: hey i need wheel advise
I measured mine and am planning on running 18X8X4.5 BS in the front with disc brakes and 20X9.5X5 BS in the back. I also welded two rear tubs together adding 1.5". Then I made my wood bed and adjusted the boards so the bed retained the factory reveals from the wheel tubs.

Re: hey i need wheel advise
Hey LILRED........I like all types of styles and this is how I chose to do my stuff so far. I have stared at all the cool steel wheels on Stocktons website and I may still change what I am running eventually. I appreciate all the stock things and the restoration; I just like hotrodding stuff. The restos are nice 'cuz my trucks were missing so many original parts its nice to see what they really came w/ and looked like. I loved the 6-cyl thread, too. You may just have to pop for a set of 20's on one of your rigs!!!!
