Sway bar installation question..
I think I already know the answer to this but I thought I'd ask anyway.
When installing the frame brackets on a truck that didn't org. come with a sway bar, do I need to grind out the rivets at the bottom of the front cross member to bolt the support brackets to? Seems like thats where it needs to go. Thanks |

Re: Sway bar installation question..
YEP!
The bigger head on the rivet is on the top of the frame rail. So grind from the bottom and hammer them out!

Re: Sway bar installation question..
Great, Thanks!
I'll go get some bolts before I grind. Last edited by DennyB; 02-10-2008 at 02:02 AM. |

Re: Sway bar installation question..
Should I grease the new bushings where the bar goes through?

Re: Sway bar installation question..
Depends on the bushing you use. If you are using an OE style rubber bushing, slime it up a little bit, but I would reccomend going with a polyurathane bushing from a company such as Energy Suspension. They are greaseless and last a lot longer. Hope this helps.

Re: Sway bar installation question..
Denny, I also used Moog bushings and didn't use any lube. My dad got his from ECE and his has little grease fittings built into them.
