pictures of engine compartments?

Hey guys i just baught a 1986 chevy sb and took of the fenders and wheel wells because i want to repaint the whole engine compartment but there is a lot of stuff in there that im afraid of getting into, brake booster, wires, heater core. i just wanted to see some of your guys trucks because i need some ideas, thx

This is what my '86 with 305 looked like when I brought it home.







As you can see, it's not quite factory stock. But aside from the green garden hose wire loom, the mis-matched plug wires, missing CC linkage, and hodge-podge spliced together vacuum lines, it's pretty close.

Stay away from the chrome ones, I haaaaaaaaaaatttttttttttttteeeeeeeeeee mine.

Zombie,
Where did you get the intake heater hose adaptor? I like it. Less stress on the water hose than routing over the valve cover. I've blown two hoses because of routing over the valve cover.
