i truely have a problem!
i bought another truck which now makes it a 85, 74, 75, 76 all shorties. its a true addiction that i refuse to break, but definintely is looking foward to breaking me. i think im going to actually flip this one though. this is a 76 it needs attention to the transmission and little things. someone put a 700r4 in it improperly. hopefully i can just check the pressure and unstick the governer because it doesnt come out of 1st gear. the fluid is clean so we shall see. here are a few pics

Re: i truely have a problem!
Very nice. I say fix the trans, polish the wheels, shine the tires and sell it! If you did keep it I would say a sport bumper would be in order for the rear.

Re: i truely have a problem!
Addiction is a terrible thing....but it sure is fun! I can barely afford the one c-10 burning a hole in my pocket, and I'm already talking about getting another.
Nice truck...C-L-E-A-N.

Re: i truely have a problem!
If it's a 700R4 and it won't shift out of 1st, it might not be the governor. It may be as simple as an adjustment of the TV cable. That cable means everything to a 700R4, it controls the pressures inside the transmission.

Re: i truely have a problem!
well i think all of the bugs are out of it now. i fixed the transmission and what do you know some weird noise coming from what seems to be the trans( only in gear and moving). so i get it in the air and put it in gear. fudge it's the rear, i was at pick a part all weekend and i couldn't find any 12 bolts so i settled for a 10 bolt with 3.42 gears and changed the bearing, brakes, wheel cylinders, and had the rear housing and cover sandblasted and sprayed it with a couple coats of satin black. oh yeah i flipped the perches also. now i have to put the drop springs i've had sitting around up front. i'm going to try and put it together before the week is up and i'll post pics of the process.
