Factory AC in the 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks is rather rare, due to the low production numbers, especially a fully-functional, complete system. Acutal production numbers were not kept or published. I have had a few 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks with this option. There are a number of aftermarket systems available, however I prefer the original equipment. The factory AC was offered as a dealer option and cost between $259.75-$279.75 depending on the engine type. At that price, the AC option would amount to a 12%-15% increase in the new truck cost.
