Bench seat for Richmond 6 speed?
Several years ago, I put a Richmond 6 speed in my '64 C10. I put bucket seats in my truck because the shifter would've been under the seat. I want to go back with a bench or some type of seat where more than 2 people can sit in the cab.
Any suggestions?? Any late model seats that would work? |

Re: Bench seat for Richmond 6 speed?
You can have the seat notched. It`s probably too small but my old s-10 had a seat that was nothed for a 5spd but mine had a cup holder in the notch because it was a automatic. I think I`ve seen some full size ford trucks with a similar notch.

Would a bench seat out of a C-20 with a stick shift or smething like that work?
I don't know if I have time to have the seat notched or not. |

Re: Bench seat for Richmond 6 speed?
IMHO notching a stock seat would look the best. Aside from the S10 seats that 68C10owner mentioned I can't think of any other OEM seats that would already have a notch. You might look at some aftermarket seats although they can be $$. I've seen some of the aftermarket bench/bucket seats that had a small notch in the center. As an alternative you could build yourself a padded console/seat type of thing to go between your existing buckets.
That truck must be fun with a 6 speed!

Yeah first gear is great! You're practically idling going down the road in 6th too! It only took me 6 months or so to pay for it too! I don't know what i"m going to do about a seat! My wife and I and my Dad are going to the Power Tour here, and I'm afraid one of us will be sitting on a bucket. |
