New Paint! Sorry, the pics are BIG!

I finally got the truck home today! I'd been waiting on the glass guy to get my front and back glass in for a couple days, but after a week and a half of blocking primer, taping, painting, taping, painting, untaping, clearing, retaping, painting, clearing, etc... It's finally home! Now I have an overnighter's worth of sanding and buffing to do...

5 inches lower with chrome 20's and we're set!

It helps to be friends with a sign guy.

Straight... enough.

I need wheels and a drop so bad!!!

Black base with silver HOK flake, red candy with Red flake, Ford CX

And the wife's GTI just for kicks. They look related.

This is what the interior will be like (when I can afford it):

Re: New Paint! Sorry, the pics are BIG!

I think it looks fine with the 15's.. I like the color of those seats though. That would work with my color scheme when I get it done. I was thinking of something like what you have but with the gray on top and blue or maroon on the bottom. Then I went to a candy type green and now I am somewhere else with colors. I will have to make up my mind sometime or another.

Sean-
That is inspirational! Be sure to park way uphill from the buggies and minivan doors in the WalMart parking lot.

Doesn't work....the first ding in my s-10 right after I bought it came from way out in BFE in wal-mart. Parked it 16 empty spaces from the closest car. Went in, got 1 item and some jacka-- in a Ford f150 parked next to me and opened his door into my fender. Why park next to someone who obviously went out of their way to not be near anyone else? Well with my temper I cowkicked the side of that f150 while I was inspecting the dent in mine. I know, not the adult thing to do.....but IT FELT GOOD! Jerry

Great looking job, Sean! That ghost Chevrolet looks great. I don't know why, but I want to see a picture of your truck doing a monster burnout!

Re: New Paint! Sorry, the pics are BIG!

Thanks so much, guys! Positive feedback is SOOO good!

I figured "Chevrolet" aught to be on it somewhere, since all the other logos and emblems have been opted out.

About the parking lots- Far away absolutely yes. Like- my wife is a pre-K teacher, and it seems that every time she drives one of my just-painted projects to work, she parks it right up close, and sure as the world some un-disciplined child pops a minivan door into the side of it. Thankfully, driving this truck scares her!

Which color? The gray is a Ford color- code "CX". I'm not sure what the real name is, but Ford uses it on almost everything. I see it all the time on the new F150s. I hope that answers your Q!

Shadow. Are you just looking for a really dark metallic black? Toyota has a good one called... 202 I think. 242? Maybe 242. I don't know.

Are you going to have the edges (paint break) pinstriped?

Yeah, the more I look at it the more I think so. My feelings right now are that I'll go back with a white stripe after it's buffed. maybe red.

Truck looks great. A harline yellow pinstripe would set it off great IMO. Take care, Jerry
