How to remove shifter knob?
Hey,
I have a 1986 GMC Sierra and I'm trying to remove the knob from the shifter for 2H, 4H, Neutral, and 4L but it doesn't screw off so I thought it must pull off, but it doesn't even seem to budge. Can anyone tell me the correct way to remove it? Maybe I just need to pull harder?

Re: How to remove shifter knob?
Has it got a lock nut under the knob, that slowed me up when I removed my 4 speed

Re: How to remove shifter knob?
205 shifter on my truck has a lock nut under it. While sitting in the driver's seat put a wrench on the nut, other end of wrench pointing to seat. Pull toward driver. Then, just spin the knob off counter clockwise. It's easy once the nut is loose.

Re: How to remove shifter knob?
It doesn't have a nut under it.
I attached a picture of it.
