Do these interchange? Tailstocks... pictures
Looking to put a motor/trans from an 88 chevy into a 87 and hoping to use the transmission from the 88 chevy. Will the tailstock from the 87 bolt onto the 88 tailstock, so i can keep the mechanical speedo?

Somebody with direct experience, or better yet a parts manual for those years, might chime in later but if I was in your shoes I'd be seriously tempted to yank out that pulse-sender and compare the way it fits in the socket with your speedometer gear
![]() It sure *looks* like the same casting, so it *ought* to be straightforward to swap your drive gear and tail if they changed the socket dimensions ![]() |
