Re: Im new on here but here is some pics
Well welcome to the forum cfranklin013. If your going to introduce yourself you may as well do it in a grand style. It looks like you are well on your way to a very nice hot rod truck.
I noticed that the front is bagged but the rear is coil over. I assume this is to ensure that the rubber meets the road. Thanks for sharing the pics. You have any more?

Re: Im new on here but here is some pics
Hopefully I should have some more pics later today . My camera took a crap on me and deleted all of my pics from the start of the project. I started with a 85 chevy swb straight and a 81 stepside . The cab on the 81 is swiss cheese and the bed on the 85 was crushed. Both of them were free from My ex father in law .( nice of him ) The 81 was my truck in high school I sold it to him 15 yrs ago ,it's been sitting for 13 of those years. I'm hoping to finish it before the end of the year . If I have no honey does the next 4 days the motor and trans should be dropped in . Then the fun part begins body work. Still trying to decide what color to paint . I want something "loud" the motor should get your attention but if not I want the color to catch your eye.
Sorry for rambling on !! I better get back to work |

Re: Im new on here but here is some pics
Just wondering what your preference is on the stepside? I guess of the 73-87 prostreets, the stepside is the rarer of the two? In any event, looks cool so far, and welcome from Baltimore MD.

Re: Im new on here but here is some pics
There Hooker headers for a Chevelle. They are a little higher up in the frame rails . I had to modify the driver's side motor mount about a 1/2" to get them to work .

Re: Im new on here but here is some pics
Welcome from central Missouri. Goodmark has new rear steps and fenders. Member "hot trux" is also building a stepside. We know how hard it is to find nice used ones.
