Re: 56 Chevy clutch and brake pedals
You should be able to use original pedals . CPP sells a bracket that keeps master cylinder in stock location, Use original clutch setup.

Re: 56 Chevy clutch and brake pedals
I will use the actual upper pedal part you see
but there is really nothing underneath as this is a 56 model pickup sheetmetal setting on an 80 4x4 frame and I have a hyfraulic slave cylinder from a Toyota Landcruiser on my Advance adapters Clutch housing so must use Toyota Master cylinder on my clutch and am using Hydroboost master cylinder set up from Master power brakes for my brake cylinder instead of a vacume booster (is hydraulic with fluid supplied by power steering pump Like a 1 ton Chevy ) Gene Sharp |

Re: 56 Chevy clutch and brake pedals
Didn't realize you were using late model frame.I've seen a hydro boost setup on a stock 57 frame(almost went that route myself). I would try to fab a bracket so you could mount assembly to the frame and incorporate original pedal? Maybe even mount clutch slave cylinder to same bracket and modify original clutch pedal.??

Re: 56 Chevy clutch and brake pedals
here is a picture of the underhood area where the pedals will exit the firewall
due to the dip in the origional frame where the cab set we leveled it with a piece of 2x6 tubing so in this area there is approx 12 inches of frame width to mount to Gene Shapr |
