Bed Floor ( steel wood )questions...just curious
I have my 72 3/4 Cheyenne apart.
It has a wood floor factory. What do I need to know to install a factory steel bed floor in the place where the wood was???

the rear piece of the bed is different as well as some of the cross members. Other than that your steel bed will bolt up IIRC. However if you want to get that WOW factor with your truck keep the wood. It looks amazing when done correctly.

that would be the front piece... the front wall. Not the rear piece.

All the cross sills are different including the rear one. Front bed panel is different too. Basicly you reuse the bedsides, tubs and tailgate, all else is diiferent.

Re: Bed Floor ( steel wood )questions...just curious
Thanx!
I located a steel bed floor here locally. It has all of the underside supports still present to it. This will sit on the frame just the same? I would compare this to my LongHorn but it is wood as well... The wood is cool, just that the originall BB motor is gone from it so I am turning it into a runner and a local parts mover.
