choke...and brake questions
how do i hook up the electric choke on an edelbrock performer 600cfm carb. originally i had a quadrapuke with the automatic choke from the thermal coil thing on the manifold....what do i need to do for this?
never had to do the swap before, just curious also is there a better vacuum source for the brake booster than the carb? just wondering because i need to replace the line and everything and wanted to know what you thought

Re: choke...and brake questions
hello, just got a 1406,on the choke take your ground
wire from the - terminal on the choke and ground it anywhere, they suggest lossening one of the choke screws and mounting it to that.Take your hot wire + back to the fuse block is the best place and attach it to a "switched) terminal in the fuse block. the big port in the rear of the carb is where it is suggested you hook power brakes to. |

Re: choke...and brake questions
yeah, well i heard someone say something about manifold vacuum, and i only know enough to break things so i figured id ask. i need to replace the booster line as it is because the fitting rusted to it and when i removed the previous carb i accidentally crimped it off. the ground is already hooked up on the choke, as the carb was used...(bought it off a friend for 25 bucks cause he was broke) so i just needed to know about the positive...thanks for the advice
