gearing question again
seriously does anyone know what gear ratio is in the 14 SF out of the 84 suburbans (diesel) along with the matched corporate 10 bolt front??
i just serviced my diff and REALLY DONT want to drop the cover to count gear teeth anyone know?

couldnt you just jack it and turn it? i always heard that was the lazy/poor mans way to do it

I just tried that and I got 1 3/4 turns on the driveshaft for every one on the wheel, so I don't think it works.

yeah my roomate reccomended that also.. i mean it has the "wonder wheel" so it should be a constant connectionthrough everything..
POOP!!! sorrie i juuuusst moved so it sucks getting my tools out and then having to put everythign back in storage right after using it.. i wanted to be really lazy and not have to bust open that diff cover again... grrr... oh well i think my truck dosent like my wife.... seems everytime im around my baby(truck) and my wife at the same time the truck dips into my wallet more then her... grrrr

you should be able to find it in the glove box off of the RPO codes if the sticker is still there
