Re: Spotted on Route 66
that sign they bolted to the roof looks a little more fancy than the one they whipped up for the box!
kind of a neat way that they two-toned the paint on this stepside. |

Re: Spotted on Route 66
Yea Billydonn, We toured from LA to Bakersfield, out through Death Valley to Las Vegas. Then on to the Grand Canyon South Rim near Williams. Then back along some of the Old 66 to Amboy.( The best part of the trip!! ). We then stayed at Laguna for a few days, Finally ending in Santa Monica.
We had a great time out there and will return again sometime. Saw so many classics out there. I sat outside a cafe in Bakersfield and just watched and listened to those V8 rumble passed. Plenty of good quality 60' 70's trucks still around, and in every day use. You guys are sure lucky to be living across the Pond!. And petrol only $4 .... Phil. |

Re: Spotted on Route 66
Na, we didn't bother with Radiator Springs this time. We have seen it on DVD and thought it looked a little false.

No it was mid week when we did the 66 thing. Talking to local people, they said there are alot of classic cars and trucks in the area at weekends.
