Late Model Bucket Install?
I did a search on the site and got a little info but need more. Has anyone installed a set of bucket seats out of a '99 or newer truck in their truck? I may have a set available and was wondering how involved the install was. They are non power seats out of an '06. Thanks.

Re: Late Model Bucket Install?
FYI - Blazer has a flat floor vs pickups that don't.
You will have to fab up some custom mounts to make them work.

Re: Late Model Bucket Install?
I suggest you consder other options unless you want to fab from scratch. The factory brackets make the newer style seats very tall for our trucks.

Re: Late Model Bucket Install?
We have fabricated frames that mount in the factory holes and then bolted the seats to them. We made them out of 2" angle. I do not have a picture but the basically were simple. I could kind of make you a drawing if you want.
it would have to have a consule to cover up the center part as it goes the full width of the cab and spans over the floor. |

Here are the seats im picking up this weekend. I think they are a pretty good match to my interior.

BowTieOgre: i think we'll have the same seats. did that set originaly come with the jump / cupholder middle seat too? i don't think i'll be using that part in my installation due to clearance issues with the floor shift and the cup holder. also, i'd prefer a custom console. |
