Re: Beautiful Blazer on Ebay!

It's been listed at least 4 times in the past. I believe it got up to $34K last time and the reserve was still not met. I'd love to own it, but I'd think for $34K it would have wipers, or at least the posts for wipers. I've been watching the action for a few days now and dreaming...

Re: Beautiful Blazer on Ebay!

No worries. I love that truck and I wish I had a spare $35,000 laying around to buy it. The last time it was listed was around the end of last summer. I think the owner must have decide to hold on to it when he didn't sell it for what he wanted and wait 'til the next Blazer season.

Re: Beautiful Blazer on Ebay!

Let me start off by saying, I hate folks slammin' other folk's rides on this board, so I AM NOT SLAMMIN', but for $30k I'd think a guy could built that Blazer and still be able to farm out paint, etc (meaning not doing every single detail hmself in his own garage). I think $30-35K should have bought it? I have one and it has some rust, but even at $2-3k for NOS quarters and New sheetmetal up front, etc, etc, I'd still think I could get it done for $10-15k, $20K on the WAY outside, and that would be paying some guys to do interior, paint (I know a good paint job can be north of $10k, but this doesn't seem to be a high, high dollar paint job?). What do you guys think?? It is a sweet Blazer but I'da sold it at the $34k high water mark? The interior isn't modded at all just recovered (That's OK by me but custom interiors get spendy, so another reasn to think this should be a lower priced vehicle)???

Re: Beautiful Blazer on Ebay!

I understand your point, but if you were an interior guy, you'd probably wonder why anyone would farm out interior work. Not everyone has a skill set to handle some of the serious work. I'd have to farm out most everything because I don't have the skills, tools or time to do anything major.

If I had $35K, I would take a serious look at that truck. I love just about everything about it and it would probably be cheaper for me to buy a completed 2wd than build one.

Then again, for $10K less, Simon's Blazer is just as nice and would probably be more what I'd buy.

Re: Beautiful Blazer on Ebay!

I'm with 70rs/ss, (And I am not slamming either) there are several for sale on
this board. Some need more work than others but ANY of them could be very
bad @ss for under $20K ($25K on the extreme end of it) It IS a very nice ride.
