Seatbelt color
The seat belts that came with my truck are tan, but I'm going all black and gray with a little burgundy for the interior of my steed.
I have used vinyl and fabric spray dye for a lot of stuff, but am nervous about using it on a belt that will be in close contact to me and my clothes. http://www.autobarn.net/duhipevifasp.html Has anyone tried this approach before? Or am i better off just looking for a set of belts at the salvage yard?

I Used It On My S10 Belts It Didnt Rub Color Off On Clothing, But It Made The Belts So Hard They Wouldnt Conform To Shape Of Your Body And You Had To Force Them Back Into The Retractors. Really Sucked Cause They Were Nice Seatbelts Before They Got Dyed.

Hmmm, my belts are in pretty harsh shape to start with and don't really like to retract, unless you pull them out and really load the spring. they are stiff with age, too.
I wonder if dying them will make them unusable or since they are already stiff it won't make much difference? Maybe i will just dye them, if it doesn't work out, all the more reason to get new ones.

You shouldn't muck around with seat belts, they are there to save your life, if they are worn or stiff or won't retract they should be replaced with new and never replace from the junk yard.

It is worth buying a new seat of belts, I just got a set of 3 for my truck, one lap belt and 2 retractable belts for just a little over $200

Frank they were not new factory GM belts, they were aftermarket, but they use the GM buckles. I will have to check the box when I get back home to see the company that makes them. I bought mine from a guy at a swap meet, but took forever to get them, so I dont recommend them. There are lots of places if you search the web that sell seatbelts.
